Happy Valentine's Day!

A few of Avery's favorite things...

Yes, we have started to potty train Avery. Her pediatrician at her 18mos checkup said to get one and see if she has any interest. Well...this seems to be all she wants to do now. Her two new favorite words are "potty" and "poopie". The potty doubles as a step-stool when the seat is down so I think she might be a bit confused as to what this really is. It is what she now stands on to brush her teeth. If the door isn't closed I'll catch her carrying her potty all around the house. We'll see how long this lasts...

We had just come home from the "real" grocery store and she wanted to show me the things she was going to buy.Avery and (BFF) Abbie in the pool at the Erie Rec Center. This is where you'll find us every Friday morning. :)

A day on the slopes

On Sunday we decided to skip the Superbowl parties, take advantage of a "less traveled" I-70 and ski Loveland. We met our friends Julie and Drew who have a little boy named Evan who is a couple of months older than Avery. We took turns watching the kids while the parents got to have a little fun!

Snowshoe Beaver Res

Just what you wanted to see, more pics of us snowshoeing. Can't help it, we like it! We headed up to Indian Peaks Wilderness (closest place with snow) on Saturday morning. Found a nice little area to hike around so guess what, you'll probably see more pics of this area. I love this picture of Avery and Chris. Avery actually smiles into the camera now when I say "cheese". This is progress. She used to run away from the camera...

Happy Hour!

We occasionally drag Avery to happy hour with us. Keyword being "occasionally"! Here she is waiting patiently for chips and salsa. She is loving chips and salsa these days. In fact, my favorite new word she is saying is salsa. I really need to get her saying it on video..too cute.

Denver Zoo

It was a beautiful day, 70+ degrees so we headed to the Zoo with some friends.
